There's a lot of contests to win Super Bowl parties and the like around this time of year. Most of them are pretty stupid.
I
got an email from someone telling me about his sketchy website where
you enter your credit card info to check whether it got stolen in
exchange for a chance to win Super Bowl tickets. Possibly purchased
with your stolen credit card?
I'm not going to give that guy a
mention because I don't want people like that getting publicity here.
The one contest that looked the most legitimate and easiest to enter
(requiring no monetary actions or mail-list signups) was the $5,000 Big
Game Party Idea Contest.
It includes a lot of lower tier prizes
like $25 gift cards to the first entrants, but the main thing is a
Super Bowl party worth $5,000. You can customize the party however you
like it, because the way you win the contest is by creating the best
idea for a party.
For example, some that have been submitted are Austin Style Party, Super Bowl Carnival of Games, and LA VIP Super Bowl Party.
The
great thing about it is the fact that you decide what your party is
going to be. With most Super Bowl party contests, the hosts decide for
you. This one actually has you create the party then have it done for
you at no cost.
There are so many possibilities out there for where you could be partying at the expense of Hellmann's and Best Foods.
