How about that, the Saints get to the Superbowl, and that means so much to the city of New Orleans. Drew Brees helped his Saints beat the Vikings on Sunday in Overtime. For Brett Favre it could be his last game ever as an NFL QB but we will have to wait and see what he decides to do. The Saints get to go to Miami and play the Indianapolis Colts for the Championship. The Colts won earlier in the day by beating a surprising New York Jets team.
Now the question remains as to weather which QB will get the ring in 2 weeks. I believe both the Vikings and Saints were evenly matched on the offensive end, but I thought the Vikings had the edge over them on the defensive side of the ball. Clearly I was wrong as the Saints created 6 turnovers, Adrian Peterson put the ball on the ground about 3 times, but only lost it 2 of the times. Every time Vikings would mess up it would look like the Saints were going to pull away, but that wasn't the case because the Vikings defense held in there and didn't let the Saints come away with more points off the turnovers.
My Superbowl predictions are Saints 30 and the Colts 21, in a very close QB shootout. Clearly both offensives will play well, but we have to see what defenses wants it more. As long as Brees plays like he has been, and as long as the Saints D continues to play aggressive and not give up, they should be ready to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy!
