When betting In Las Vegas, the New York Jets have long odds to win the Super Bowl than any of the 12 teams in the playoff. Rex Ryan the Jets coach is not permitted from betting on the NFL, but for him a bet on the Jets is a great deal. On his daily news conference, he was asked to comment about his reaction to being the squad with the longest odds which is currently at 50-1 to win the championship. Or about the underdog status of his team, Ryan said, he was not aware of that, but according to him they should be the favorites. A reporter made a follow up question to Ryan and clarifies if he meant they must be the favorites to win on Saturday's game at Cincinnati and Ryan said his trust in his team goes a long way. Rex Ryan is feeling great these days. The confident coach of the New York Jets believes that his team will not only be favored to win against the Cincinnati Bengals, but also the Super Bowl. The man who by mistake thought the Jets were removed from the playoff picture after losing to Atlanta three weeks ago believes his team can win it all.
He confidently thinks they have the best defense, Ryan said. He also knows that they have the best rushing attack. Those two factors are largely in our favor. With some of exceptions on our staff, probably I, for me, we have a great coaching staff. When asked to comment about what of Ryan's said, Mike Pettine the defensive coordinator just smiled. Try to shocks me, Pettine said, he was brought in from Baltimore by Ryan. Like what I've previously said, that is Rex being Rex. The Jets started as a one point from the start as the underdog versus the Bengals and are now 2½-point still being underdog despite beating the Cincinnati team with a score of 37-0 last Sunday that gave them the right to make it into the playoffs.
Ryan said that he wants this football team and he is not going to trade the team. If he was given a chance to choose which team to coach in the tournament, he will gladly choose this one. The Jets have not yet won the Super Bowl since Joe Namath helped win the franchise's first and only title with Ryan's father, Buddy, the defensive line coach during 1969. So watch the Super Bowl 44 and see if Ryan is right in saying that Jets Should be Favorites.
