If we rewind back to Week Six, we saw an Eagles team who couldn't score a touchdown against a terrible Raiders team and it felt as though we'd hit rock bottom. The loss was embarrassing and we had a chance to make some ground on the Giants who were blown out by the Saints. We failed to find a way to win and many spirits were crushed.

Follow that game up with a sub-par performance against the Redskins and more questions arose. Sure the team got a win but everyone knew they weren't playing at the level they should be. So here comes the big test, the battle for first place in the NFC East with the Giants, who many picked as their division winner before the season started.

Boom, there's the team we thought we had. The Eagles came out absolutely firing, got up early, and never looked back. Offensively, we flashed all the weapons we have, and on defense we brought it hard for all four quarters. Now here we are, set up with another big divisional game with the Dallas Cowboys. This time we don't come in as the challenger, but as the champ looking to defend his title. The Eagles are right where they need to be right now and can control their own fate.

So, in my opinion, that does make the Eagles the team to beat in the NFC East. They've taken down two out of three divisional foes thus far and look to go for the sweep on Sunday night. The Cowboys are a worthy adversary, losing a close game to the Giants and falling in another close game with the Broncos. They did get taken into overtime with the Chiefs, so they have shown their share of inconsistency. I'm sure the Birds are really going to get up for this one, and as it seems that Brian Westbrook may practice this week, they might add another weapon to an offense that looked unstoppable against the Giants.
