The biggest headline going around the Internet today is the rumor of the Buffalo Bills sending their prima donna receiver, T.O. to the Bears on a mid-season trade. Apparently, the buzz was created on ESPN.com's insider rumor page and has since spread across the Internet like wildfire.
In other words, that means you want to take this with a grain of salt since the ESPN rumor page has a lot of offerings that most of the time do not materialize, that is why they call it a rumor page after all. Analyzing this rumor a little bit, T.O. to Bears would make some sense. Clearly he is unhappy with the way the Bills have been playing and it is just a mater of time before he starts controversy in the locker room like he did with his previous teams (Eagles and Cowboys) when they where not winning games.
The Bills look horrible and have a lot of issues the need to address, clearly they do not want to deal with a wide-receiver whining about how many catches he has in a game. If they ship him to the Bears, T.O. would immediately be placed on a successful team with a reliable quarterback in Jay Cutler who can get T.O. the ball. On the other side of the equation, the Bears would add a proven dominant wide receiver to complement their speed guy, Devin Hester.
Come to think about it, this does not look so farfetched at all, it might actually be a very beneficial trade to both parties. All we can do is stay tuned and see how this drama unfolds as the week progresses.
