High School Football : How To Get Recruited To Play College Football - NFL news, NFL Update, Scores, Schedule , Predictions

If you have been wondering how to get recruited to play college football, you are finally on the right path. This article can give you the steps you need to take to put yourself in a great position to play at the next level. If you have the talent, size and skills to play football, these steps can help you get there.

Step One- What Level Is Right For You?

College football is played from the junior college ranks all the way up to elite level Division I. Your first job is find out what level of football is right for you. Every student-athlete wants to play Division I, that goes without saying, but you must be realistic and judge your skills and size against the competition. One of the best ways to do this is to get out and watch some college football at as many different levels as you can. This will help you see what level of competition you might be able to fit into as you continue to figure out how to be recruited to play college football.

Step Two - What Colleges Are Right For You?

Once you know what level or levels you can play at, you need to develop a list of colleges you want to target for recruitment. I suggest targeting at least 50 schools to give yourself a good chance at finding some schools that will have some interest in you.

Step Three - Market And Promote Yourself

If you want to play at the next level and colleges don't seem to have you on their radar, you need to start marketing and promoting yourself. You can do this by personally contacting the colleges you selected at step two with a personal letter and your athletic resume.

Summary

If you have been trying to figure out how to be recruited to play college football for very long, you have probably discovered that it's not an easy process. However, if you follow the simply three steps outlined above (and you have the talent and size to play), you can be on your way to playing college football.
